March=Soccer!!

Seriously March is almost over? Sorry for the lack of posts for those that read my blog. I just haven’t been making the time to blog and I need to be better! Soccer is in fully swing for us right now. Matthew & Kaylee are on the same team and Jim is their coach. They are finally starting to enjoy playing in the games. They practice once a week for an hour.

Kaylee was most excited about the {new} pink soccer shorts and socks and new soccer shoes, she is a girl!

The first game, was a little bad, Kaylee didn’t want to play, she was too cold and Matthew got tired after a few minutes of running! {it was at 8:00 am on a Saturday!} Luckily they have improved with each game. Kaylee still doesn’t like the blue uniforms because blue is NOT her favorite color! But they will both paly for their quarters and they are having fun!

Thomas is on the same team and is playing better this season. He loves to play defense and has a good understanding of protecting his goal.

Averi runs around most of the game and always has to get a ring pop from the concession stand. She usually runs onto the field about 20 times, usually when I am taking pictures!

During Thomas’s game Matthew and his buddy play with our phones and relax. They have gotten to be good friends last season and this season.

Jim and I love the beautiful weather we are able to enjoy during Saturday soccer games. It is also nice to get to know more people in our area {outside of church}. The kids love having new friends and playing in the games. They also look forward to the snacks each game!

Thomas started soccer in September. He is enjoying playing this season. He loves to play defense and kick the ball out.

He loves soccer practice because they do skills training and play lots of different games. He is very competitive in the games and often wins.

The other kids enjoy playing soccer in empty fields and running around. They cheer for Thomas occasionally. Kaylee & Matthew can start soccer in the spring and are very excited for it. I guess we will be spending our Saturday's in the spring at the soccer fields!

1st Soccer Game

Thomas had his first soccer game last night and he did great! We had so much fun watching him and his team the Superheroes!  He scored 4 goals, the first couple of the game.  He has a great coach who is very encouraging and doesn't get angry when they just stand there and watch the ball go by.  We are very excited for our first soccer season!
Jim sporting his new "do." He shaved his hair completely off!
The soccer fields are at a park with great playground equipment so Kaylee and Matthew had fun playing on everything during the game.
Matthew really wanted to play soccer with Thomas, luckily there were extra balls he could play with!
Kaylee picking flowers. I edited this photo in PSE, I ran an action on it that really makes the colors pop on it.  The "before" picture is after it. I downloaded the actions free from this site. It has tons of great freebies on it so check it out!!

A few more Birthday pics

We put a candle in Matthew and Kaylee's cinnamon rolls Sunday morning. We lit them a few times because they have so much fun blowing them out.

The Birthday Girl and Boy before church. (I got Kaylee's dress for $2.50 at Carters! what a steal :)
We were all pooped after church on Sunday. Matthew fell asleep in the car and kept sleeping on the couch.
I laid down for just a minute and fell asleep too!
Kaylee fell asleep in "Grandma's Room" (the guest room). Notice she is holding her princess shoe!
Kaylee loves this apron and hat the Hollist's gave her. She looks so cute in it. She wouldn't stand up for the picture because I was squatting to get a good shot of her :)

Birthday Party

Here's some pictures from the party. We decided it would be fun to invite some of our friends from Sachse over for the twins 2nd birthday. We had been wanting to have a little get together, but hadn't ever done it so thought their birthday was the perfect excuse! We had arranged to rent a bounce house for the day, but it was raining in the morning and looked like rain all day so they canceled it. I had seen a bounce house at Sam's club so Jim went to check it out. All they had left was the floor model so we got it for just $100! We were going to pay $75 for a rental so we figured that was a good deal (it's regular price was $300!!!). It was just the right size to fit in the playroom so we set it up inside for a little while. When the threat of rain passed we moved it to the backyard. We had a little pool set up and the trampoline. It was unseasonably cool (85 degrees) so it was a perfect evening for the kids to play outside!

Enjoying the birthday cake:
Clara gave Kaylee a big pack of dress up shoes. All the girls loved them and had to try them on. Kaylee and Clara looked so cute topless with their shoes on. (They had just eaten cake).

Happy 2nd Birthday to Kaylee & Matthew

We celebrated Kaylee and Matthew's birthday this weekend. I can't believe that they are 2! Time really does fly by! My Mom and Gabe drove up on Friday. We had a lot of fun with them. Everyone loves when Grandma comes to town and they loved rough housing with Gabe on the trampoline. We opened presents on Friday night with Grandma and Gabe. Kaylee got some new "babies" and things to help take care of them. She loves to mother her babies. She is going to be a great big sister to our new little girl.
Thomas and Matthew checking out Potty Time Elmo.
Matthew loved playing with Uncle Gabe
Thomas helping Matthew with the Handy Manny toys he picked out for Matthew.
Kaylee loves the tea set that Grandma got for her.
Grandma gave them these chairs which will be perfect when we go to the beach in a few weeks!
Thomas loves playing games with Grandma. They played the Handy Manny matching game.
Here's some pictures of them eating cake at their big birthday party. I'll do another post on that, but I made these collages in PSE so I thought I'd go ahead and share them. They loved blowing out the candles. We let them do it a few times because other kids helped them. It was a lot of fun!
Nothing is better than birthday cake!

Kaylee enjoying the cake
I have lots more pictures from the party that I will post later. I was so busy last week planning the party I haven't had time to blog so I have a lot to catch up on this week!
