New House Pictures!

So the last 2 weeks have been really crazy and I haven't had time to post anything. Besides getting ready for the move into our new house, my Grandpa Beard passed away on Sat. March 21 so all my family was here at my house for a few days which just added to the chaos of packing and getting ready for the move. Jim was also super busy at work so he wasn't able to go to the funeral with us. We just did a day trip to Austin on Wednesday so it was a really long day, but the kids did great. I was so glad that I was able to go and remember the great man that my Grandpa was. Trish posted his obituary at her blog if you want to check it out. I had no idea how famous and respected he was in his field of hydrological engineering. He lived a good long life and we will miss him but know we will be reunited one day.
So here are some pictures of our house. I know Jim's family has been anxious to see some, here are just a few. I don't want pictures of all the boxes so as I finish unpacking the various rooms I'll post pictures of those rooms :)
We got a new washer and dryer from the builders. Love them so much, GE HE and they are awesome! We have a really weird laundry room, the washer and dryer aren't by each other, but is okay and not as big of a pain as I thought it would be.
Me in the family room the first night we slept there, I guess last Friday, March 27.
The kitchen (before we moved in) There are still boxes and stuff all over the counters, but I love this big island in the center of the kitchen. It is an awesome kitchen and has tons of storage space. I love cooking in it!
The dinette and my little desk area. I love having this space for my laptop. It is a great space! Our bedroom...I just got this new bedding. It is a nice big room with high ceilings and gorgeous windows.

The master bath. I need to get a little vanity stool for the area instead of the ugly old folding chair!
The tub has jets, which Thomas loves. I haven't used it yet.
The family room. We are going to get bookshelves for the niches, but haven't found any that we like yet.Our first kid destroying the new house. Kaylee found a red PERMANENT marker in a junk box that I was sorting through and had fun coloring on the door. I got it all off with a little rubbing alcohol and fingernail polish remover. All markers are hidden in high places now :)
Pam ended up being here for a week because she had planned a trip to come the weekend before and we found out that Grandpa was going to pass away she just decided to stay. She was a great big help and packed up a ton of stuff for me. It worked out good for me that she was here for so long. Kaylee loved having a little sister in Olivia to take care of and mother. Here they are in their matching shirts at the mall playground.

Sweet Olivia, I thought Pam would like this picture.

I can't believe Kaylee did that!!! I would have freaked! I am glad you got it out. Pictures don't do your house justice:) And yes I love that pic of Olivia, a frame-worthy photo!

Leave it to the kids to not respect a new house! Glad you got it off--Kalyn did that with a black permantent marker on three of the walls in my bedroom when we bought our first house. Only Magic Eraser worked...nothing else.
