Ice Days

We've had two ice days this week. The first one on Tuesday wasn't really icy at all, but we stayed home all day. Thomas's school was cancelled so it was a long day. By the end of the day I had to pull out some new things to keep the kids busy and happy.
I made Thomas so "ooblek" it is just cornstarch and water and a little food coloring. When you hit it it is hard, but when you pick it up it is like a liquid. It is fun stuff! Here's the recipe: 2 cups cornstarch, 1 cup water with food coloring added to water. Just mix it the best you can.

I had to wash Kaylee and Matthews bedding so I just put their mattresses on the floor and let them have a fun time on the floor.

Kaylee and Matthew really wanted to go outside. I put their jackets on them and let them go outside. They didn't want to stay outside for very long.

I have never heard of ooblek I am so going to try this. Grayce gets tired of playdough. Cute pictures! You are such a creative mom, no wonder you have twins!

Hey, can you post the recipe for oobleck? I lost mine and want to make for the preschoolers. Everytime I look online I see different versions and I want the one I learned at BYU!! :)

I don't think I would venture with the goop stuff myself; too messy! I think the kids would eat it! You're too good! Can't wait to see all of you very soon!
