The LAST Snow day

We have gotten a lot of snow in Arkansas this year. Thomas has missed 6 days from school because of snow. I think spring is on the way so we shouldn’t have any more snow days! These last ones were kind of hard because I was sick with strep. It was nice because Jim was home with the kids to help take care of me and the kids. I took lots of naps and just laid around. 

We put a bowl out for snow ice cream before it started to snow. The kids LOVED it. It was pretty yummy!

Averi was a big fan of it.

 

We never measured the snow, but it was about 6-8 inches.

Doesn’t Jim look good in those sunglasses? His were buried in his car so he wore a pair of mine.

Matthew had a lot of fun in the snow!

Since I was under the weather, I didn’t get lots of pictures of the kids in the snow. I am glad that spring is on the way. I prefer thunderstorms to snow storms!

A Random Sampling

Twins!

I love that Matthew and Kaylee are such good little buddies. They usually get along really well and watch out for each other. I thought they looked so cute sitting here watching a show together. Now that they are 3 1/2 it is much easier to have twins!

Poor little Averi loves to play outside with the “Big” kids. She gets so mad when they all get on the trampoline and she doesn’t get to get on it. It is hard being the baby of the family.

A Fun craft idea

I  saw an idea similar to this on a blog…I can’t remember which one, I look at way too many! The foam Love is from the dollar spot at Target. I had the frame in my stash…I got it from Michael’s a few years ago. I stamped the heart (Stampin’ UP!) on a tag and printed the words on some paper, cut it out and stuck it in the frame. I love how it turned out and it took about 5 minutes to make!

A Kaylee Funny

Jim has Young Men every Wednesday night. This past week we had a little popcorn party while we watched Minute to Win It. After I got the kids to bed I noticed Kaylee had set up her dolls and animals on the couch so I thought I’d take a picture, then I noticed one baby had popcorn in its mouth…she is going to be a great Mommy someday because she already takes good care of her baby dolls.

Another Snow Day!

Friday snow was forecasted, but it wasn’t snowing much in the morning so school wasn’t canceled. Around 8:40 I get a text that schools are closing at 9:00…I hurry and get the kids dressed and jump in the van and go get Thomas. It was snowing pretty good and sticking to the roads. I talked Jim into coming home so we wouldn’t get stuck at work.

We pulled out the play dough and the kids played with it for about an hour. Averi loves to sit at the table and be a BIG girl!

Thomas had fun coloring with Markers. When I picked him up from school he was sad because he didn’t get to eat lunch there!

I love when Jim grabs the camera and gets pictures of me with the kids (even though I had NO make up on!)

Snow in January!

We got snow on January 9. The kids were so excited about it they had to go out right when it started to stick a little bit! There are 3 days of pictures so get ready!

Here’s Monday’s pictures, we had about 6 inches of snow. Poor Averi couldn’t walk it, she would fall and start crying. She didn’t like it much!

Since we were stuck in all day for the snow day I decided to make cinnamon rolls and that is what we had for dinner (with a veggie chili).

Tuesday snow day

Averi would touch the snow or icy water then cry because here hands were cold. She didn’t understand what was making them cold.

It wasn’t good packing snow so the big kids and Jim had a snowball fight. Thomas had been asking since December when it was going to snow so he was so excited for the snow and the 2 snow days from school!

Most of the snow was melted by Saturday. When Thomas looked outside and realized the snow was melting he cried and said, I don't want the snow to go away! Poor kid!

Snow Fun!

Last night the weathermen were talking about the snow we would get today, I didn't really think we would get much, boy was I wrong!! We had about 2 inches this morning and it has continued to fall all day! I heard we had about 7 inches by now, I'll have to take some more pictures before it gets dark. It is perfect packing snow for snowballs and snowmen. The kids were so excited to get their coats and mittens on and get out and play in it. Jim and I took turns playing outside with them.
