Kaylee and Matthew’s preschool had a cute Christmas Program. They were so excited for it. They had been practicing their songs for weeks. They did a great job!

First Day of School Pictures 2012

A little slow getting these on the blog…Thomas started school on August 20. He is in 2nd grade and has Mrs. Weaver. He is really enjoying school this year. He has a few friends from last year in his class.

All the kids wanted to take a picture with Thomas. It actually turned out really great!

Averi had to help and hold the sign.

Kaylee and Matthew started school on September 5th. They are going to the same preschool again this year.

Kaylee was so excited to start school. The weeks before it started she would ask every day if she was going to school that day. She picked out her shirt to wear the first day. I could not get her to look at me when I was taking pictures.

Matthew wasn’t as excited about school starting. He is doing good and enjoying it though!

I had to get a few shots of my cute twins together. I can’t believe that they will start Kindergarten next year!

I love Matthew’s serious look in this picture.

Here’s Averi. She thought she was going to school too! She was very sad to leave them at school.

Kaylee is in Miss Becky’s class. The director thought long and hard about K & M being in the same class. They decided it would be best if they were in different classes. I think it has been really good for them. They have recess together so they get to see each other a couple of times a day. It is helping them get ready for next year. They also seem to get along better at home.

Matthew is in Ms. Tata’s Class (short for Tanya). He was a little somber about not having Kaylee with him. He is doing good and loving school too. I’m so glad that we have a great school for them to go to.

Kaylee & Matthew are 5!!!

So I am really behind on my blog! This summer has been crazy! We moved at the beginning of August {to a different house, long story I’ll share later} so I have been busy packing and unpacking! We did an easy party for Kaylee and Matthew this year at our {old} neighborhood pool. I took my camera one day when we were swimming and got this great picture for the invitation.

I made the invitations in PSE and emailed them out. Their birthday snuck up on us! We invited family and a few friends.

It was the perfect day for a swim party. The kids had so much fun swimming with cousins, friends and Grandma DeVaux.

It was so windy we couldn’t light the candles, so we just pretended to blow them out. The kids thought it was pretty funny!

We got cupcakes from Sam’s club-Kaylee picked out Princess & Matthew picked out Batman.

and had their candles in their donuts.

We went to Chili’s earlier in the week for their birthday dinner. {we were moving into our new house, so their actual birthday was low key}

I can’t believe that they are 5 now! Weren’t they the cutest, little babies! They get to do one more year of preschool. The cutoff for kindergarten here in Arkansas is August 1, their birthday is August 2! Oh well.

We love you Kaylee and Matthew and so glad we have you in our family!!

Last Day of School {Kaylee and Matthew}

Kaylee and Matthew LOVED their school this year. It has been the best thing for them. It was worth every penny we paid for it. They had the BEST teacher, Mrs. Melissa. She was so much fun and taught them so much. Here they are on their last day of school. They will be going 3 days a week in the fall.

DSC_2444_0423

They made lots of good friends in class. Matthew even found his future wife, Chanley, his first girlfriend!

Going to school has helped Kaylee’s speech a lot. It is amazing how much better she is at talking now. Most people can understand her now {at the beginning of the year not many people could understand her}.

Thanks for a great year Mrs. Melissa!

Kaylee & Matthew’s First Day!

Kaylee & Matthew started MDO yesterday. They are going twice a week from 9:30-2:30. They have been dying to start school and were so excited. They carried their lunchboxes around all morning till we left.

DSC_0048

Kaylee, the picture is a little washed out. She picked out her outfit at old navy. She looked really cute and was so excited. They have to wear tennis shoes because the playground is gravel. I need to get her some cuter shoes.

Matthew was doing ninja poses the whole time. He wouldn’t stand still for me. He picked his shirt out at Target, he calls it a Hawaii shirt.

They were so excited to leave that we got to the school a little early and had to wait for the doors to open.

DSC_0052

Here they are with their teacher Mrs. Melissa. They didn’t want to look at me because they were so interested in what was going on in the classroom! Mrs. Melissa is very nice and they are so excited to be in her class.

DSC_0057

There were matchbox cars and ramps set up. Matthew ran right over to them and started playing. (sorry it is blurry!)

Kaylee made a beeline for the play dough.

I said bye to them and they didn’t even acknowledge me. Averi screamed and did not want to leave! She was so sad that she didn’t get to stay with them.  They were so excited when I picked them up and had a great day. I think it is good thing for them and me!

Kaylee & Matthew’s 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Kaylee & Matthew’s birthday the Friday after their birthday. It was a small party with family and a few friends. They were so excited for their party and their cupcakes. It was a fun night. Kaylee loves chocolate and Matthew loves vanilla so I had to make 2 kinds of cupcakes. We had tons of cupcakes even after I sent everyone home with some! Before their party they talked about what they wanted (strawberry shortcake and Cars) but I don’t really like characters so I just decided to make my own toppers and use the number 4. I love my silhouette, it is great for making all these fun things!

we had big cupcakes and mini cupcakes

and Green cupcakes and lots of sprinkles (Kaylee put sprinkles on all the cupcakes and was very thorough in her work!)

I LOVE party food so there was lots of good food for the adults to eat while the kids played.

These were the party favors, marshmallows dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles. The pink ones were strawberry flavored and so yummy!

I made the monograms with my sil. I didn’t feel like doing a lot of decorations so this is all we had. I had the digital picture frame loaded with pictures of them.

I thought this picture was pretty cool of Thomas spinning Averi-no idea how I got it to look like this, but I love it!

The kids had fun playing inside and out.

It wasn’t too hot outside so they enjoyed the play set.

Present opening was fun and crazy. I love how all the kids have to be right by the ones opening presents.
