Gabe & Molly had a little reception in Provo Friday night after their sealing.

All the girls looking pretty, Ellie did not like her outfit! It was very itchy.

One of the BEST things about the reception was seeing old friends. Ranie and her parents came and it was sooo much fun to catch up with her. I wish we lived closer.

There was a chocolate fountain that all the kids LOVED. It was delish!

Friends

We have been blessed with lots of good friends here in Arkansas. Some of our favorite friends are moving away soon. We just have a few weeks left with them so we are trying to take advantage and do lots of fun things together before they are gone.

Matthew and Isaac are best buddies. Isaac is moving in a month and we don’t know what we are going to do without our friends, the Swenson’s here. Just about everyday Matthew if Isaac can come over in play, it is always an exciting day when he gets to come play with Matthew.

They were doing their superhero poses, I can’t remember which ones they were though.

Averi and Tessa are finally enjoying each other. Averi used to scare Tessa, she has a tendency to seek weakness in others and exploits it. Tessa has learned to not let Averi push her around and now they love to play together. They get a little crazy together sometimes and it is so cute to me to see them enjoying each others company.

Andrea has been a  great friend to me. We just clicked, you know you just hit it off with some people, that was us. We both have 4 kids and most of them are the same age. We love photography, she has taught me a lot and taken wonderful pictures of my family. We like to read the same books and love the same music. We love blogging and crafting and going to concerts together... I am sad that my friend won’t be with me in Arkansas anymore. It won’t be the same without them here.

Octoberfest

Sorry for my lack of posts in October, I need to get out of my not blogging rut! I thought I would have more time with Kaylee & Matthew in school 2 days a week, but it goes so fast!

Our friends the Henderson’s have 2 big parties a year that they invite everyone to on July 4th and Octoberfest. The kids LOVE going to the Henderson Compound. It is so much fun and there is always lots of yummy food

The kids all had about 3 snow cones.

Thomas stays so busy the whole time we are there, this is the only picture of him-waiting in line to get a snow cone!

It took us about 30 minutes to leave because the kids kept going back for one last cotton candy or one last snow cone. They had great food for the adults as well: brisket, fall of the bone ribs, hot dogs and hamburgers. Thanks Henderson’s for a perfect party!

Old BYU 57th Ward mini reunion

Our good friend Brett (he & Jim have been friends since they were kids) set up a little dinner with some old friends from our last student ward at BYU, the one we met in. I didn’t pull my camera out until the end so I didn’t get some of our friends who had to leave early. Sorry Adrian & Kate and Brigette & Tyler! Jim was in the 57th ward for 3 years, I was just in it for 1 year, I liked to move around! He says he had to just stay put and wait for me to show up!

groupBrett, Janae & Dax, Brian, Allison & Benson, Aaron & his wife (I can’t remember her name) I look like a dork pointing my remote at the camera!

It was fun to catch up with everyone. Jim thanked Brian for finding me a condo in the ward all those years ago. Brian and I met in Heritage Halls in 1999, we were in the same ward. He had just gotten home from his mission and was scared of girls. We became good friends and hung out. A few years later when I decided to go back to BYU and not on a mission(a whole different story for another time) I called him to see if he knew of a  place I could live and some girls in his condo had an opening so I moved in. A few months later Jim and I started dating and the rest is history.  It was fun to meet Brian’s wife and new baby and catch up and laugh about old times. It is funny the things people remember about you.

Our kids had so much fun with the Davis kids. They are all a little wild and crazy and got along great!  Brett & Janae have and awesome basement with lots of gymnastics equipment and they didn’t want to leave it

Thanks for a fun night Brett & Janae! It was fun to see you and for our kids to meet! Check out Janae’s blog, it is hilarious!

Kenny Chesney Concert

So Kenny Chesney is my favorite performer. I LOVE him…(Jim is well aware of this and teases me a lot about it.) I first saw him a few years ago with Brandy, she won tickets from a radio station and we went and I was in love…He was just getting big then and it was at the Smirnoff in downtown Dallas by the fairgrounds. We had so much fun at that concert.  The next time we saw him he was at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco and it was HOT!!! We sweated buckets, but it was worth it.

DSC02867

We sat on the side that the sun was facing us so we were dying until the sun set. Once it set and Kenny came on stage we were much happier!

DSC02892

We look a lot younger in this picture…twins really age you!

A few years went by before we got to see him again. We were pregnant with twins or nursing twins or the concerts fell on Sunday. Ann joined us this time and it was CRAZY how much it was raining, but they didn’t cancel the concert so we braved the weather in our ponchos. We watched Lady Antebellum from the covered standing room only area then sat in the rain for Miranda Lambert. When Kenny came out it was raining a little less and we thought it might stop, but it just kept on raining so we just embraced it. Our ponchos did little to keep the rain out.

Kenny Concert May 2009

Kenny performed about half of his numbers then the rain was coming down so hard they had to call the show. The lightening was crazy and it was a little dangerous.

DSCN0651

Because Kenny is just awesome he did a make-up concert a few weeks later. It was 3 hours of all Kenny. It was fun and amazing!

Kenny took last year off so we were determined to see him this year. The weekend he was in Dallas didn’t work for me so Brandy flew here to see him in Little Rock.

DSCN1439

We had dinner at Juanita’s before the concert…not the best dining experience but we had fun. Leslie joined us for dinner.

DSCN1441

Being the big Kenny nerd that I am I joined the fan club so we could get better seats and it was totally worth it. We were on the 9th row on the side… the seats were AWESOME! Best seats I’ve ever had at a concert. Uncle Kracker opened for him, he was all right. Billy Currington also opened and he was a lot of fun. I really like his music.

I sang and screamed so much I lost my voice for a few days. (I think I was worn down from the week because Kaylee had surgery and we spent a  few nights in the hospital. She is doing great now!) It was fun to have Pam and Andrea at the concert with me and Brandy. Thanks Kenny for being a great entertainer! As long as Kenny keeps putting on concerts, Brandy and I will keep going to them!
